Frequently Asked Questions

Why was Matthew Hutcheson prosecuted?

The government's narrative claimed that he committed wire fraud. In reality, he legally and honorably invested funds under his trusteeship in an initiative that was both endorsed and requested by several members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives as a job-creating measure. His actions were authorized under 29 CFR § 2509.94-1.

Did the FBI ever interview Matthew or any members of his family?

No interview was requested. No warrant to examine computers or documents was requested from the court. Nothing. In fact, the FBI agent submitted a falsified investigation file to the Grand Jury, deceiving it into issuing an indictment. Approximately one year later, the matter ended in tragedy for the agent.

Why was Matthew put in solitary confinement?

After a United States Senator launched an investigation on behalf of Annette Hutcheson, it was uncovered that an individual from the White House had instructed the Warden to place Matthew in solitary confinement and withhold his legal files, deliberately hindering his petitions to the court. It was only after the Senator's office involved the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) that the Warden finally released Matthew from solitary. Despite this, Matthew was repeatedly placed in solitary confinement by other Wardens at various prisons, amounting to a total of three years. Oversight authorities later determined that each of these confinements was carried out with malicious intent.
